Life can be looked at differently
"It can be different." Four seemingly simple words, spoken by one of the participants in the ‘Transformational Presence Intensive Course’ training. It was her response to my question: what is the most important thing Transformational Presence has brought you so far?
"It can be different." It is a short sentence with immense depth, expressing a profound effect. It's about her realization of how she approaches life, how she was raised to view life in a certain way, and that it can be fundamentally different. From this new perspective, life can also be experienced in a completely different way. It's a common realization among the course participants. This is the typical effect that Transformational Presence has on people who encounter it for the first time.
So, what’s so "different"?
Instead of jumping straight into action and working towards a solution, take a moment to pause, listen, sense, and feel. Instead of feeling the need to immediately know the answer, allow yourself to be curious, explore, and discover. Instead of getting stuck in causes and explanations, shift your attention to the opportunity hidden within the situation. Replace resistance to what is with a flexible willingness to flow and partner with it. Rather than rushing to judgment, remain open to what the situation is trying to reveal to you.
At its core, this approach is about first engaging with life and whatever happens from your heart. It’s about being open to new information, receptive to intuitive insights, and only then involving the mind and taking action. In other words, it’s about shifting your starting point—your initial approach—from your head to your heart. First, the ‘input mode’ (gathering information, exploring, learning) is activated, and then, from a deeper awareness, the ‘output mode’ (doing, achieving) is entered.
The effect of this different approach?
In the words of other participants:
· ‘More connection with myself and others’
· ‘Trust’
· ‘Unexpected answers and outcomes, more clarity, and it brings me back to the core of who I am’
· ‘A clear sense of my contribution’
· ‘Being able to listen to myself, others, and life’
· ‘More calmness and a freer feeling in the things I do throughout the day’
· ‘Energy and relaxation’
This week, take a few moments to pause and direct your attention to what your situation is trying to tell you. Be curious, listen, and sense. Then, take action from that place of awareness and be curious about what it brings you.
I wish you much enjoyment!
