Keeping Your Energy Level High
As 2024 slowly comes to an end and the days get shorter, with so much still to be done before the year is over, the fatigue around me seems to be increasing. "Just one more month to hold on, and then it's Christmas, and I can take a break," I hear several people sigh sometimes.
What if you didn't have to drag yourself to the end of the year? What if it wasn't about ‘enduring’ your work? What if you could continuously keep your energy at a high level?
Then the question becomes: how do you do that? How do you ensure that your energy is as high as possible? An important question, not just during this period, but actually at any time. Because the higher your energy level, the better you are able to perceive yourself in the situation at any moment, no matter what happens, and consciously choose how you want to navigate the situation.
This choice then allows you to break free from (old) unconscious behavioral patterns. It also gives you the opportunity to seize new possibilities by consciously choosing your way of being present and thus forming a partnership with the unfolding potential. It makes your life lighter, simpler, and more pleasant.
Over the years, I have noticed that answering this question starts with your physical well-being. How fit are you, or do you feel? And what suits you to make that fitness, even if only by a few percent, (even) stronger? I'm not talking about creating a top athlete's body, but what can you do to experience a bit more lung capacity and muscle strength?
In addition to taking care of a (slightly) fitter body, I have adopted several recurring actions that contribute to the highest possible energy and frequency level:
· Consciously enjoying the nature around me
· Consciously feeling gratitude for what is, what I experience through my senses, and what I have
· Being aware of what causes me stress and avoiding these situations as much as possible (or, of course, exploring why I experience stress and transforming these causes)
· Being aware of which activities give me peace and relaxation and incorporating them into each day, such as a long walk after lunch
· Experiencing a solid involvement with what is happening in the world while simultaneously strengthening the ability not to get entangled in it
· Consciously stating and expressing my intention for the day (i.e., who do I want to be today?) in the presence of another person
This week, take some time to reflect on yourself: how do you do that? How do you ensure that your energy is as high as possible? Have you developed a habit or a recurring practice for this? Great! If not, I invite you to review the list above and decide which activity suits you best. Then, perform that exercise or activity for several days in a row. Give it a real chance. Then, notice the difference in your energy. What makes that difference possible for you?
I wish you much joy in your discoveries!
